CORRECTION: Race time is 7:10 pm ET

After a two hour delay for track drying, practice is finally underway at Texas Motor Speedway for tonight’s Genesys 300. The cars will line up according to entrant points. Alex Palou will be on the pole. Will Power starts second.

The race start time has been moved up to 7:10 pm ET from 7:45.

No word yet on how the grid will be set for tomorrow’s race. One thought is that it will be based on owners’ points following tonight’s race. I think that would be a fair way to do things since it will make for a different starting line up from tonight.
