Marcus Armstrong turned the quickest lap in the morning practice session as Meyer Shank Racing and Chip Ganassi Racing took the top four spots. The teams have a technical alliance.

The Andretti Global trio of Will Power, Marcus Ericsson, and Kyle Kirkwood shpwed strengh early, with Po fastest at the end of the all-car segment. Power finished seventh, Ericsson sixth, and Kirkwood ninth.
